In addition to developing and advocating for monitoring and evaluation policies and programs, we engage in a number of other activities, including supporting the enhancement of the scientific base of monitoring and evaluation through reports of our members’ research activities at our meetings.IMEP has played a major role in providing continuing professional education for our members and for all monitoring and evaluation workers through accredited educational sessions and programs. Of noteworthy is our five (5) levels certified training programme aimed at promoting excellence in the practice of monitoring and evaluation by examining, certifying, and regulating our members.
We publish The Monitor, which is a Newsletter, and books, issue briefs and monographs on monitoring and evaluation issues. We keep our members informed about major monitoring and evaluation issues through our newspaper, The Monitor, Monitoring and Evaluation Bulletins, social media and many. We also publish books, issue briefs and monographs on monitoring and evaluation issues. Plans are fare advance to start our peer review referred journal called “International Journal of Monitoring, Evaluation and Standards.
We are currently focusing our efforts on on ensuring the right to health and health care, creating health equity and building public health infrastructure and capacity.
We actively work to enhance collaboration with other professional organizations and develop public-private partnerships to help solve Monitoring, Evaluation problems.
Each year in May, IMEP serves as the organizer of National Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning week. We develops a national campaign to educate the public, policymakers and practitioners during the week about issues related to the theme.
