IMEP CPD PROGRAMME

The Institute of Monitoring and Evaluation Practitioners (IMEP–Ghana) recognises that Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) is a dynamic and evolving profession. To remain effective, relevant, and ethical, practitioners must continuously update their knowledge, skills, and professional competence.

IMEP has therefore established a structured Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Framework to support lifelong learning and professional growth for all members. Participation in CPD is a core requirement for membership retention, progression, professional certification, and fellowship within IMEP.

Purpose of the CPD Framework

The IMEP CPD Framework is designed to:

  • Ensure continuous development of professional knowledge, skills, and ethical standards
  • Keep members up to date with emerging tools, methodologies, and best practices in M&E
  • Support professional progression across IMEP membership levels
  • Strengthen applied practice, learning, and accountability

CPD activities may be earned through IMEP-organised programmes or IMEP-approved external activities.

Key CPD Principles

  • CPD is mandatory for all IMEP members
  • CPD points are accumulated annually
  • Points may be earned through learning, practice, leadership, research, wellness, and service activities
  • Mandatory sub-group participation is the primary CPD delivery platform
  • Only IMEP-approved or recognised activities attract CPD points
