8. Can I practise independently as an IMEP member?
Only Certified (CMEP) and Fellow (FIMEP) members may practise independently, supervise trainees, and represent IMEP professionally.
9. What is CPD and why is it important?
CPD (Continuing Professional Development) ensures that members continuously update their skills, knowledge, and ethical standards. CPD is mandatory for all IMEP members.
10. How many CPD points do I need each year?
Annual CPD requirements range from 10 to 35 points, depending on membership level.
11. How can I earn CPD points?
CPD points can be earned through:
- Trainings and certificate courses
- Webinars and conferences
- Sub-group participation and leadership
- Research, publications, and presentations
- Wellness and community engagement activities
12. What happens if I do not meet my CPD requirements?
Non-compliance may result in inactive membership status, delayed progression, or suspension until CPD requirements are met.
13. What are IMEP sub-groups?
Sub-groups are mandatory Communities of Practice where members specialise, learn, and earn CPD points.
14. Is sub-group participation compulsory?
Yes. Every member must belong to at least one (1) sub-group and may belong to no more than two (2).
15. Does IMEP offer short certificate courses?
Yes. IMEP runs short, practical certificate programmes in areas such as:
- Results-Based Management
- Data Collection & Survey Methods
- Impact Evaluation
