The institute of Monitoring and Evaluation Practitioners, Ghana (IMEP) was founded in in March 2010 and incorporated in 2022. During this time there was a genuine for monitoring and Evaluation professional across all the sectors of the Economy. IMEP came in handy to help fill in this vacuum.
From our inception, IMEP was dedicated to improving monitoring and evaluation in both services and production sector across the country. IMEP was founded by Dr. Stephen T. Odonkor and together with our forbearers recognized that two of the Institute’s most important functions were advocacy for adoption by the government of the most current scientific advances relevant to monitoring and evaluation, and public education on how to improve monitoring and evaluation. Along with these efforts, we have also campaigned for developing well-organized monitoring and evaluation departments at various levels in the governmental strictures from national, regional, district and local levels. Of special emphasis has been the private sector which is noted as the engine of growth for any economy. Our monitoring and evaluation, campaigns have also been targeted at the private sector.
